Take Back Your Life – While Taking Care Of Business

Calling all entrepreneurs-

So, you’ve been building your business. It wasn’t an easy ride.Work Life Balance You started from scratch. If you needed something, whether it be a new website or a press release – you learned how to do it. Congratulations! You’ve reached a crucial step in your business. The hard work and long hours have paid off, but perhaps now you find yourself in a position where your business has taken over your life.

If your social life or relationships have suffered in the process of creating your business, then don’t worry. We’ve got some advice to help you take back your life, whilst still taking care of business…

Work fewer hours
Working 80+ hours on a weekly basis will do nor you or your business any good. If you’re a workaholic then you need to cut back on your hours. That doesn’t mean getting less done. Instead, schedule your work time and make the most of each hour you spend working. By setting time limits you will be amazed at how much you can accomplish!

Become the boss
You’re no longer necessarily the jack of all trades that takes care of everything. Rather, you’re the boss. Take a moment to step back and evaluate your business and where you want to be. Is there a simpler way to go about your day-to-day operations?

This may involve hiring a PA, to assist with customer service and other administrative tasks. Further, ask yourself if you could save time and money by outsourcing or automating some of what you do.

Taking back your life may mean letting go of some tasks and building a team that can help you keep your business running. Start small and find someone to help you part time. As your business grows, so will the team that works with you.

By continuing the way you have done things so far, working too hard and sacrificing time with your family, friends and anything you used to enjoy doing, you’ll hit a wall. Studies show that those who work longer hours in the day are more likely to suffer from depression. Regain control and you will find yourself both healthier and happier.
