I am an Integrative counsellor with Humanistic approach using Person Centred, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy as my core models. I believe having all these tools helps me work with each individual as a whole. I respect everyone is different and I work with clients according to their personality and presenting issues.
I have a vast experience of working one to one with clients since 2010. I offer non-judgmental therapy, which is strictly client led. I have also experience of working with couples and families facilitating their arguments and disagreements to improve relationship barriers.
I specialize in stress, anxiety and panic attacks; I have had great results working with clients from all backgrounds, age and cultures. I work in a professional manner and am able to hold boundaries, which is essential to create therapeutic alliance.
My experience involves working with high intensity depression in NHS setting dealing with number of presenting issues such as bereavement, loss, abuse, domestic violence, anger management, forced marriages, relationship issues, workplace bullying etc.
Areas of interest:
I work using different techniques such as NLP, EFT, Rewind for PTSD. I am also trained in Critical Incident Debriefing to normalise trauma.
I specialise in weight management counselling to regain lost confidence due to weight related issues.
I am bilingual which helps me to be more accessible in wider community; I can speak Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Mirpuri fluently. I believe speaking the same language as client can break down barriers and it creates a safe place to open up and off load.
