Each person I interact with is unique individual and as an integrative psychotherapist I am able to utilise my therapeutic skills to incorporate techniques from different therapies to assist with emotional, social and psychological wellbeing.
I offer a confidential, safe, non-judgemental and supportive environment to individuals who may be experiencing a wide range of issues from their past to present. I work from a humanistic base of Person Centred Therapy offering a non-judgemental environment with genuineness, empathy and understanding. I have developed my therapeutic skills to integrate techniques from different therapies when required to assist with emotional, social and psychological wellbeing.
I have been practicing as a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist since 2004 and have a Master’s Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have been employed by the NHS during the past 12 years, involved within services regarding addictive behaviours. I have worked effectively developing the skills of motivational interviewing to facilitate improvement with confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, decision making. I have worked with individuals involved with drug and alcohol misuse as a symptomatic relief to avoid areas of anxiety, depression, stress, past experiences and lifestyle.
Areas I am able to work with include:
Addictive behaviour, Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Relationship Difficulties, Work Related Issues, Loss, Identity, Self-esteem, Self-worth, Confidence Building and Decision making.
Throughout my own personal experience of therapy, I am aware of the importance of exploring your own thought processes, feelings and behaviour to assist with the ability of reaching your own sense of self.
I am available on Friday afternoons.
