Hi my name is Suzanne and I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor, having worked within the nhs, private sector and in private practice for a number of years. I use a variety of counselling approaches, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), to suit each of my clients’ needs, but most importantly I believe in offering warmth and understanding and place a good deal of emphasis on developing a trusting relationship with my clients.
We all find ourselves facing difficult situations at various times in our lives and sometimes having someone to listen can be all we need. I offer a safe and confidential environment for my clients to discover and explore options, choices and ways of coping with life. My job is to come alongside my clients as they face challenges and find resolutions or simply peace.
Anger Management, Depression, Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Stress in the workplace, Panic Disorder, Phobias, Low Self-esteem and Assertiveness issues, Diagnosis of Illness, Pre-bereavement, Bereavement, Complicated Grief, Spirituality issues and Well-being. I have also worked with OCD, eating disorders, suicidal thoughts and relationship issues.
So are you struggling with anxiety, stress at work, feeling low or cannot find your purpose or meaning in life? Or is life just too overwhelming and you find yourself sailing in stormy waters? Or have you lost a loved one and are trying to deal with grief or experiencing other types of loss such as redundancy? If the answer is yes to any of these questions or you have other concerns you would like to discuss, then perhaps counselling is for you and perhaps I can help.
Fees for individual counselling £40 per hour and £30 per hour concession for students.
I offer integrative clinical supervision for counsellors, holding a National Counselling Society Certificate in Supervision and providing a safe space to explore working and growing as practitioners. I aim to encourage supervisees in expressing their needs and increasing their self-awareness as a therapist, particularly in areas such as how style, personality, authenticity, and modality can impact on the therapy they offer. I believe it is important to be able to bring all of you to supervision, as all of you can affect your work with clients.
I provide contracted support based on supervisee and/or client focus and the maintenance of ethical professional standards. I believe it is important to enable supervisees to increase competency and potential, as well as facilitate empowerment through nurture, confidence building and wellbeing.
My supervisory practice, as with my clinical work, is underpinned by the core conditions of empathy, respect and authenticity and my personal philosophies & values of warmth, care and compassion for others, promoting sound professional relationships.
Fees: £45 per hour for supervision
