We all find ourselves facing difficult situations at various times in our lives and sometimes having someone to listen can be all we need.
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor I offer counselling to individuals who wish to explore the difficulties that they face in their lives in a safe, confidential, supportive and non-judgemental environment. I strongly believe in the development of building a trusting relationship with my clients. I believe that by offering warmth and understanding to my clients they are able to explore their difficulties without judgement. I see counselling as a mutual journey where I work alongside my clients as they work through their challenges. As an integrative counsellor, I use a variety of counselling approaches, to suit each of my clients’ needs.
I have experience of helping clients deal with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, self-harm, loss, suicidal feelings, low mood and the impact of trauma. I have experience of working as a counsellor with both adults and teenagers.
I am also a fully qualified teacher and I have over 25 years of experience of working with teenagers in both school and college settings.
I currently also work for three days a week for the UK’s leading mental health charity Place2be as a School Project Manager. In this role I work therapeutically with teenagers, and I also manage and supervise a team of counsellors.
