I offer individuals and couples a counselling relationship where you can safely explore and negotiate your past, present and future. I aim to enable you to make sense and meaning of your experiences, develop insight and new ways to adjust and move forward.
Hello my name is Nic.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor working with individuals and couples. I offer brief and longer-term counselling to suit your needs.
Through my work in counselling agencies in the West Midlands and Warwickshire, I am experienced in counselling a wide range of concerns including:
Relationship and family issues, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, work related stress, abuse, trauma, bereavement and loss. This includes bereavement counselling for parents who have experienced miscarriage, neonatal and infant loss.
I specialise in working with clients who want to improve their relationships, reduce anxiety and stress. I believe through a therapeutic relationship we all have the potential to increase self-awareness and create change in our lives. By exploring unhelpful feelings and thoughts you can improve your general mental health and well-being. The person-centred approach, is the foundation of how I work and I integrate a variety of CBT and Psychodynamic interventions based on evidence-based research of what works in therapy.
If you choose to contact me, I offer an initial joint consultation session. I will listen carefully to the concerns you bring. Together we can explore if and how we can work together, enabling you to make decisions about how you want to live your life and deal with life problems in your own way.
I am a Registered Member MBACP (Accred), and committed to practice within the BACP Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals.
