Welcome and thank you for viewing my profile. I am a person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

There are so many reasons why most of us, at some time in our lives’ feel low, lost and in need of support. Sometimes we get to the point where we can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel and this is where I believe counselling can make a difference.

I believe intuitively, we know what we need, but sometimes we find it difficult to be guided by our inner voice. I will work with you therapeutically to help you rediscover what it is you need, to find a way forward and feel safe to explore the changes and decisions that are right for you.

I have worked with many different clients experiencing a wide range of issues including loss, bereavement, depression, anxiety, abuse, low self-esteem and relationship problems but have knowledge and experience in many areas.

I have a specialist interest in working with the effects of loss, which is something we all experience at some point in our lives; be it the loss of a loved one, loss of a job, loss of fertility etc. Loss can be a life shattering experience and have a profound effect on our emotional-well-being, leaving us feeling alone, depressed, disorientated and empty.

I have always had a passion for working with people and have 25 years’ experience of working in the caring professions and I am truly humbled to have worked with a diverse client group of adults and young people.

I work in a gentle, empathic way with my clients, offering a safe, warm and confidential environment, where you can leave the world and its judgements at the door and just be you.
