I am a qualified psychologist with a private practice working in different areas of psychology for over ten years with a wide diversity of adult clients from different backgrounds, cultures, communities and issues. For almost two years I worked in the NHS providing psychological and emotional support for members of staff whose issues were widely diverse, (ranging from work to personal related ones). I have worked internationally offering psychotherapy in Portuguese and Spanish in addition to English which has given me greater flexibility with client’s issues. It has also provided a wider understanding of the sorts of issues people have when moving to a different country when encountering different cultures. My approach to therapeutic work is mainly psychodynamics and I am at present undergoing training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is according to the NICE guidelines one of the approved therapeutic approaches to treat Post Traumatic Stress.
So if you are struggling with aspects of yourself or your life and need help in order to make sense of things and move forward feel free to contact me for an appointment.
